As part of the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange (CCIPE) delegation’s visit to Malaysia from January 16 to 18, 2025, the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA), represented by its main secretariat ICCCM, arranged a significant meeting with the Technical Vocational Education and Training Division (BPLTV) of the Ministry of Education Malaysia on January 16.
The meeting commenced with a warm opening speech delivered by Deputy Director General of BPLTV, Dr. Shah Jahan Bin Assanarkutty. He highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration between Malaysia and China in the field of technical and vocational education, emphasizing BPLTV’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships.
Following this, Director General of CCIPE, Mr. Yu Chang Xue, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage with Malaysia’s Ministry of Education. He underscored the value of international exchange programs in opening new avenues for students and institutions in both countries, paving the way for meaningful cooperation.
Ms. Nicy Bai, Chairman of Sichuan Laima International Education and representative of ICCCM, also addressed the attendees. In her speech, she shared a compelling vision for advancing educational cooperation between Malaysia and China. She highlighted key initiatives such as scholarships, student exchange programs, and collaborative projects, emphasizing their potential to further strengthen bilateral relations and foster mutual growth in education.
The meeting concluded with a ceremonial exchange of souvenirs as a gesture of goodwill and mutual appreciation. The representatives from both BPLTV and CCIPE, along with ICCCM, posed for a group photo to commemorate this meaningful engagement.
This meeting served as an important milestone in strengthening educational ties between Malaysia and China, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to advancing technical and vocational education through international collaboration.
