On May 30, 2025, the Russia Centre of Science & Culture (RCSC), together with the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) and Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), held the closing ceremony for the “Russia’s Inbound Tourism: Specialties & Opportunities” online workshop.
The ceremony featured speeches from several key guests who shared their appreciation and highlighted the value of the program.

Ms. Asiyat Tarchokova thanked all participants, speakers, and organizers for their efforts. She emphasized the importance of this workshop in promoting understanding and showcasing Russia’s tourism to the world.
Mr. Aleksei Sapozhenkov highlighted tourism as a way to build cultural understanding between countries. He thanked everyone involved and expressed hope that the workshop would lead to more collaboration and interest in visiting Russia.
Ms. Ekaterina Evgrafova stressed the value of international cooperation in growing Russia’s tourism sector. She appreciated the teamwork behind the workshop and praised the effort to highlight Russia’s tourism potential.
Datin Noorazah binti Omar gave a warm closing speech, stressing the importance of education and cultural exchange in building strong ties. She thanked the Russian partners and hoped for more academic and tourism partnerships in the future.

Ms. Loo Hui Ann, representing ITEA, celebrated the strong partnership between Malaysia and Russia. She highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and education in boosting global tourism and praised the participants for their enthusiasm. She also noted that the workshop provided a valuable platform for learning and building lasting international connections.
Mr. Norman recognized the workshop as a great opportunity to expand students’ and educators’ global views, especially in tourism. He thanked the organizers and international partners for their efforts and encouraged ongoing engagement to help develop skilled tourism professionals.
Mr. Ilya, the lead lecturer, gave the final summary of the workshop, emphasizing Russia’s unique tourism attractions, cultural richness, and useful tips for promoting inbound tourism. He thanked everyone for their participation and encouraged them to use the knowledge gained to strengthen tourism links between Russia and their home countries.
Lastly, our emcee for the event, Ms. Adelene from ICCCM and the Secretariat of ITEA, guided the ceremony with grace and energy. Her warm and professional hosting helped ensure the event ran smoothly and kept the audience engaged throughout.

Certificates of completion were given to all student participants, while certificates of appreciation were awarded to lecturers and coordinators who supported the event.
The program ended with a souvenir exchange between the co-hosts and VIP guests, marking a meaningful end to the workshop and celebrating the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Malaysia.
