Changsha Vocational & Technical College & UNY Deepen China–Indonesia TVET Cooperation

On 27 April 2026, Changsha Vocational & Technical College and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held a meaningful bilateral meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, focusing on strengthening cooperation in vocational and technical education.

During the session, Vice President Professor Cao Xu delivered a keynote address, expressing sincere appreciation for UNY’s warm hospitality and highlighting the strong foundation of collaboration established in 2025, including the “Chinese Language + Skills Training” Program and the “Chu Yi” Workshop.

In his speech, Professor Cao emphasized the shared commitment of both institutions to talent development, industry alignment, and international exchange. He also underscored emerging opportunities driven by industrial demand in Indonesia, particularly in automation, intelligent manufacturing, and automotive engineering, calling for deeper collaboration in joint training programs, faculty and student exchange, and enterprise-oriented skill development.

Both universities reaffirmed their intention to build a sustainable partnership framework that supports chinese + vocational skills education, strengthens industry-academia integration, and enhances graduate employability in both countries.

The meeting concluded with constructive discussions on future cooperation pathways, reflecting a shared vision for long-term China–Indonesia educational collaboration.
