International Collaboration Meeting Between Politeknik Tun Syed Nasir and Shangqiu Polytechnic

On 30 April 2026, Politeknik Tun Syed Nasir and Shangqiu Polytechnic successfully held an International Collaboration Meeting, marking a meaningful step forward in strengthening China–Malaysia vocational education cooperation. The session opened with a warm welcome to distinguished guests from both institutions, including President Mr. Xue Mingzhi from Shangqiu Polytechnic and Director Ts. Hamdan bin Samdin from Politeknik Tun Syed Nasir, highlighting the importance of this cross-border academic engagement.

In his speech, President Mr. Xue Mingzhi emphasized that the proposed “Friendship Institute” represents a significant milestone in the development of both institutions, symbolising not only academic collaboration but also the deepening friendship between China and Malaysia. He highlighted Shangqiu Polytechnic’s strong academic foundation, industry engagement, and internationalisation efforts, and expressed hope that future collaboration will further strengthen talent development, curriculum innovation, and educational exchange beyond borders.

Meanwhile, Director Ts. Hamdan bin Samdin presented a comprehensive overview of Politeknik Tun Syed Nasir, showcasing its academic structure, diploma programmes, industry collaborations, and international engagement initiatives. He highlighted the institution’s commitment to global partnerships, innovation-driven education, and active involvement in international programmes and research collaborations across Asia and beyond, reflecting PTSN’s strong vision in advancing technical and vocational education globally.
