A courtesy meeting was held on 13 May 2026 with the Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia, in relation to the preparation and technical coordination for the upcoming CCIPE visit, as well as broader initiatives in international higher education collaboration.

The discussion was held with the participation of the Honorary President of the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA), Prof. Dr. Ir. K.H. Mohammad Nuh, DEA, together with the Direktur Kelembagaan, Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Mukhamad Najib, S.TP., M.M., as well as representatives from the respective sides.

The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment between Malaysia, Indonesia and China to further strengthen strategic institutional partnerships, enhance bilateral academic cooperation, and advance sustainable internationalisation efforts within the higher education sector for long-term regional impact.
