Strengthening Egypt–China Educational Cooperation through Strategic Dialogue

On 25 June 2026, a high-level meeting was held in Cairo between the Supreme Council of Technological Education (SCTE), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt, and the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The meeting served as a valuable platform to strengthen bilateral cooperation in higher education, technical and vocational education, academic mobility, and international people-to-people exchanges.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Geushey Hassaneen, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Technological Education (SCTE), with the participation of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Watany, Senior Consultant of the Supreme Council of Technological Education (SCTE), alongside representatives from the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange and partner institutions.

During the programme, delegates also had the honour of meeting Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt, for a courtesy visit and commemorative group photo.

The programme included welcome speeches, an interactive discussion session, a signing ceremony, an appreciation award presentation, and a souvenir exchange, reflecting the shared commitment of both Egypt and China to advancing international educational cooperation and fostering long-term institutional partnerships.

The meeting marked another significant milestone in strengthening educational ties between Egypt and China, laying a solid foundation for future collaborations that will benefit institutions, educators, and students from both countries.
