On 18 August 2026, the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) marked an important milestone in advancing international educational cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. The signing ceremony was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
The ceremony brought together representatives from both sides and commenced with opening remarks, followed by speeches from Mr. Saidzoda Rahim Hamro, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Ms. Nicy Bai, Secretary-General of the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA) and Chairman of ICCCM. The programme also included a presentation of ITEA and ICCCM, providing an opportunity to introduce their missions and ongoing efforts in promoting international and transnational education cooperation.
Following an interactive discussion session, the MoU signing ceremony formalised the commitment of both parties to strengthen mutual cooperation and explore future opportunities for collaboration in the field of education. The ceremony concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and a group photo session, symbolising the beginning of this new partnership.
Through this collaboration, ICCCM looks forward to working closely with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan to promote greater international engagement, facilitate knowledge exchange, and explore meaningful initiatives that contribute to the development of education and transnational cooperation.
