The Third China-ASEAN  “Skill Panda” International Skills Competition

The Third China-ASEAN "Skill Panda" International Skills Competition focuses on New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Technology. It brings together students and professionals from various fields to demonstrate their skills in automotive engineering and related technologies.

Eligible contestants are college students majoring in the following fields:

  • Automotive Engineering
  • Industrial Technology
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Software Engineering

Each team must consist of 2 students and 1 instructor.

  • Basic Theory Test: A knowledge-based test on New Energy Vehicle technology.
  • Online Skill Assessment: A practical skills test focusing on hands-on tasks related to NEV technology.

The registration deadline is 26 Nov. Make sure to submit your team’s application before the cutoff date.

The pre-competition training will take place on 29 Nov. Teams are encouraged to attend to prepare for the competition.

  • Quiz: 5 Dec
  • Online Skills Assessment: 10 Dec

The closing ceremony will be held on 11 Dec. We will announce the winners and celebrate all participants.

Teams can register by completing the registration process on the official competition website or through the registration link shared by the organizers.

There are no fees for participating in the competition.

The online skills assessment will take place virtually on 10 Dec, where teams will be assessed on their practical skills.

Participants will need the following computer requirements:

  • Windows computer system
  • Microsoft Office 2010 or above
  • Adobe Reader
  • SolidWorks or CAD
  • PKUNZIP
  • VLC Player (or other systems with a video player)
  • English input method

The assessment language will be English. The assessment content will primarily be in the form of electronic answers, in line with the technical description provided by the World Skills Competition.

Once the registration is submitted, changes to team members are generally not allowed. Please ensure all team members are confirmed before registration.

The competition will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Accuracy and completeness in the Basic Theory Test
  • Practical skills demonstrated in the Online Skill Assessment
  • Innovation and problem-solving ability related to New Energy Vehicle technology
