2nd China-ASEAN International Competition on Water Resources and Electric Power Successfully Concludes

On December 7, 2024, the 2nd China-ASEAN International Competition on Water Resources and Electric Power, along with the Belt and Road International Seminar on Vocational Education, was successfully held at Guangdong Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Engineering in Guangzhou. The event received active support from the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) and partners, including Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO).

The competition attracted outstanding teams from 10 countries, with ICCCM playing a key role in recruiting international participants. After intense competition, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Vietnam, took first place, followed by teams from Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia in second, and four teams from Indonesia and Malaysia sharing third place.

Both the opening and closing ceremonies highlighted the importance of international collaboration in water resources and energy security. The event not only showcased technical skills but also served as a platform for exchange, fostering sustainable development in the water and power sectors. The organizers expressed gratitude for the support, particularly from ICCCM, and emphasized the need for continued innovation and cooperation to address global challenges.

Looking ahead, the event will continue to enhance international cooperation and promote the development of vocational education in the water and electric power industries.
