On 22 July, the international seminar “Reclaiming Academic Integrity: Restoring Research Reputation and Relevance in a Post-Trust Era” was held online via Zoom and hosted as part of the International Conference on Learning and Education (5th ICLE) by STKIP PGRI PACITAN.
The seminar responds to the erosion of public trust in research caused by plagiarism, data manipulation, publication pressure, and digital misinformation; the event convened academics, editors, policymakers, and practitioners to explore reforms in academic culture, incentive policies, transparency and reproducibility practices the role of preventive technologies, and strategies for research ethics education and science communication to produce practical recommendations and foster collaborative networks to restore research reputation and relevance at both local and global levels.
Keynote speakers included Professor Fatima Aldajani of the University of Toledo, USA, Professor Yuli Rahmawati- Education and Culture Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Australia, and Professor Saltanat Meiramova from the A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute (EAGI), Kazakhstan.
