On 2 September 2026, Dongguan Polytechnic, Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia – UPTM ia (UPTM), and Shun Cheng Mechanical & Electrical Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd jointly held the Signing and Inaugural Ceremony of the China–Malaysia Friendship Institute and the School–Enterprise. The event marked an important step in strengthening educational and industry collaboration between China and Malaysia.

The ceremony featured speeches from representatives of the participating institutions, followed by a virtual signing ceremony between Dongguan Polytechnic and Shun Cheng Mechanical & Electrical Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, as well as the inaugural ceremony of their collaboration.

The programme also featured a session titled “AI Meets Electronic Testing: An Emerging Frontier,” presented by Dr. Shuang Gao of Dongguan Polytechnic. The session explored the integration of artificial intelligence with electronic testing and intelligent manufacturing, highlighting the growing role of AI in technical education and industry.

The event brought together education, industry, and technology, reflecting continued efforts to promote practical cooperation, innovation, and stronger China–Malaysia connections.
