On 4 June, ICCCM and Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Indonesia, successfully held an online signing ceremony, marking an important milestone in strengthening international academic cooperation and advancing global educational partnerships.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie, M.Eng., IPU., ASEAN Eng, Rector of UNSRAT; Prof. Ir. Arthur Pinaria, M.P., Ph.D, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Roike Iwan Montolalu, S.Pi., M.Sc, Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs; Dr. Ralfie Pinasang, S.H., M.H, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni; Prof. Ir. Steenie E. Wallah, M.Sc., Ph.D, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations; together with deans, directors, bureau heads, and representatives from UNSRAT.
Representing ICCCM were Ms. Loo Hui Ann, Managing Director; Mr. Benjamin Leong, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Godwin Silver, Europe-Africa Regional Manager; Mr. Nasridini Asliddin, Central Asia-Russia Regional Manager; along with representatives from ICCCM.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on a wide range of potential areas for collaboration, including the Friendship Institute Initiative, student and faculty mobility, joint research projects, academic exchanges, international conferences, skills development programmes, and other cross-border educational opportunities.
A key highlight of the discussion was the upcoming implementation of a Friendship Institute Project between UNSRAT and one of ICCCM’s partner institutions in China through the innovative 2+1+1 collaboration model. This initiative is expected to create valuable international learning pathways and strengthen educational connectivity between Indonesia and China.
